Snow - Jan 2012

Friday night, J. was coming home late. It was snowing hard - almost white out conditions - through the Semiahmoo gated area. But as J. came down the hill near the Museum/Park at the end of the spit the snow turned to sleet then rain. J. figured the snow level to be about 25-50 feet? So, while the areas in the Pacific Northwest have been hammered, we haven't gotten much of anything.
Until waking up this morning, the kids became excited about snow ice-cream. What's snow ice-cream? Snow with maple syrup, of course!

Here are pictures of the snow fall.

Not much, but the only school district running on Tuesday was Blaine's - and now (Wednesday night after one "snow day") we find that school is once again canceled for tomorrow. And yes, there is much more snow, and drifts, in the towns and county. Kids are a little disappointed that there is not enough to make a have a good snow fight or make snowmen/women/kids.

We are staying warm in the cold, hope you're warm wherever you might be.
