A Summer Cruise (out for about a week - Drayton Harbor to Sucia and back)
We'll let the photos and comments explain the goings on.
Enjoy.
We started with a couple of days just relaxing in Drayton Harbor - yup, Blaine.
For some reason, we didn't take any pictures of us sailing over to Sucia Island, San Juan Islands.
The next morning we awoke to thick fog! Thinking that taking a dinghy trip over to near by Ewing Cove would be a good way to teach the kids how to pilot in fog, we plotted and planned our trip using the chart. The four of us had a great time safely exploring the shallows - and we found Ewing Cove!
The next day the kids rowed themselves over to Ewing Cove (two at a time) - coming back against a head wind. They did a wonderful job!
Again, for some reason, we didn't think of taking any photos of us sailing home.

L. stayed behind, baking! Yummy! and took this as the fog lifted. |
Later on, we head over to Fox Cove and Fossil Bay on the other side of the island. |
How fun to find out that our friend G. created the posters for this display. |
Getting dirty! |
Look at this, Jesus isn't the only one to walk on water! ;) |

All three ended up rowing back! |
Again, for some reason, we didn't think of taking any photos of us sailing home.
