While working on the hatch board, it was also time to whip out the new mainsail cover. Last summer we had created the pattern for the mainsail while working on the other sail covers. But ... we ran out of material that matched the stay sail cover. This summer, while pricing vinyl, we noticed some more fabric in the same pattern (Yes, J.'d carried a piece of it in his wallet for an entire year).
So here's the result. Somehow, we didn't get any pictures of us cutting or sewing. Oh, and while at it, we also added a Velcro flap to protect the zipper onto the stay sail cover we had made last summer. After a year's weathering, there is a slight fading, but otherwise the stay sail cover is holding up well.
