Yes, it is hard to believe that 5 years ago today we sat down with the kids at the kitchen table ... took a deep breath ... and presented the idea of living aboard our boat instead of in a house. We weren't sure how they were going to take it.
We figured the girls were young enough to go either way, and probably would go the way our son set.
So, after presenting the idea, our son said, "Let's do it! Let's go for it!"
That July we did and we have been. First on our Balboa 26 and now on Merganser, our Dreadnought 32.
Sometimes it still seems unbelievable that it has really been almost 5 years. At times it feels like we've always done this, and at others like it was only yesterday we moved aboard. Unbelievable.
What a blessed way to live.
